Mapping a topic

In this activity we will create a mindmap from any topic in our textbooks. Our text books are also groups of different types of topics we study. Each topic than has its own groups and links within.
Let's try any one of the topics that you like most. It can be from any subject like language, social science, science and mathematics.
Some topics can be (you can choose topics which are not listed below too!)
classification of plants and animals, energy, chemistry, geology, acids and bases, properties of matter, solid liquid and gases, compounds and elements mixtures, grammar, poems, stories, plays, human body, ecological systems, historical events, eminent personalities, current affairs, festivals, farming, food etc.

Choose a topic and find all the information about this topic. The root node of the mindmap would be this topic. Find out various categories, examples, functions, meaning of the various parts and add them to the mind map. You can add Notes to the Node for additional information.

We give a couple of examples. You can download the source files to open them in Freeplane and work with them.

Example 2 Human body systems Source File
