A video analysis tool

To analyze the motion of the ball on inclined plane

So far, you have worked on the experiment and calculated average speed of the ball. You may have also realized that it is difficult to get precise data from the experiment manually. You have also discussed reasons for this.

To overcome this difficulty, we have developed an analysis tool for you. Here are some pre-reocorded video clips in a folder for you to analyze.

How does the Video Player work?

Every film is a collection of stills. When these stills are run together at a constant speed we see the action in motion.

The videos in the folder were taken at the rate of 30 frames per second. Using built in commands "+" and"-" you can move the motion of the ball frame by frame. It means you can see the position of the ball at that particular 1/30th of a second.

This way you are able to stop the motion and analyze it at your convenience.

You can record the time and position of the ball in the given table. A graph will be generated automatically. You can save it in your gallery for further analysis.

Following is a tutorial to explain its interface and how to use  it:

On the basis of the above exercise answer the following:

By analyzing the data, we have discovered a motion where the velocity is gradually increasing with time. A similar kind of experiment was used by Galileo to define acceleration.
